Oceanview of Nahant is one of Massachusetts' most breathtaking coastal wedding venues, known for its sweeping ocean views, dramatic sunsets, and elegant reception spaces. For Neidg & Antonio, it was the perfect backdrop for a celebration filled with culture, joy, and unforgettable moments. They had pictured an outdoor ceremony right near the shore. The weather had other plans.
When Your Wedding Day Has a Plan B
A full day of rain would rattle most couples. Not Neidg and Antonio.
If there's one piece of advice we give every couple who books a venue known for its outdoor charm, it's this: picture your day two ways, with the sun out and with the rain coming down. Know what both versions look like before the big day arrives. Neidg and Antonio did exactly that, and it's a big part of why their wedding never lost its magic, even when the sky didn't cooperate.q1
Despite rain rolling through the ceremony and into the start of the reception, Neidg radiated beauty that no amount of rain could touch. And just as cocktail hour got underway, the rain started to ease and the room's energy started to climb.

Setting the Tone at Cocktail Hour
That shift in energy doesn't happen by accident. Our job during cocktail hour was to build a soundtrack and atmosphere that matched the momentum, easing guests out of the ceremony and into celebration mode so that by the time dinner started, the room was already warm.
Capturing the Moments in Real time and Why Bilingual Entertainment Mattered
One of the most meaningful parts of Neidg & Antonio's reception had nothing to do with the weather at all. Their guest list brought together English-speaking friends and Creole-speaking family, and making sure everyone felt included. And that's why Fusion Function brought in DJ Fab, a bilingual DJ and emcee who made announcements in both English and Haitian Creole. No one had to lean over and ask what was just said. No one felt like they were watching the celebration from the outside. Grandparents, cousins, college friends, everyone was in on every toast, every transition, every moment, together.
The visuals from the day tell their own story. Once Like a Spark Productions was on hand capturing everything in real time, and the results speak for themselves: epic photos and video that will let Neidg and Antonio relive this day for years.
The Moment Everything Came Together
Here's the part that still gets us: by the time the night wound down, the rain had let up completely. Neidg and Antonio got their last dance outside after all, with family and friends gathered along the balcony above, watching the two of them sway under a clear sky.
No umbrellas needed. Just two people, a song, and a view of the ocean they'd waited all day to stand under.
